Our Projects

Livestock Training Institute, Bagauda

The Project aims at empowering women and youth in the state to engage in income generation activities along the livestock value chain; enhancing food security; enhance the socio-economic status of trainees, improving the protein supply in the state The Institute is designed to offer formal and informal trainings. Three (3) key modules are now offered under the informal trainings:
i) Rabbit production
ii) Bull fattening
iii) Ram fattening
Below are summary of projects executed so far towards the preparedness of the institution in offering informal training to selected trainees, especially women and youth:

DEVELOPMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE
i) Construction of 2 No Classrooms Blocks
ii) Clearance of Works
iii) Construction of Kitchen, Bathrooms, interlocking tiles and Cafeteria
iv) Rehabilitation of Buildings
v) Purchase of 32 Seater Bus

TRAINING AND POST TRAINING PACKAGES
i) Provision of Take-off Grant
ii) Feeding of Students, etc
iii) Post Training Packages
iv) Training
v) 3rd Batch Training
vi) Post Training Packages(Women)
The Institution has from inception in 2012 trained 924 Youth &Women Trained in Basic Requirements for Rabbit Production and Management Practices; Bull Fattening and Ram Fattening.
